Duties
Under limited direction of your manager, you will perform duties as a Registered Nurse Level 1 in an acute care service. You will:
- Provide patient centred care within an ethical and professional framework.
- Practice in accordance with the relevant legislation.
- Practice in a way that acknowledges the dignity, culture, values, beliefs, and rights of individuals and/or groups.
- Advocate for individuals and or groups and their rights for nursing care within the organisational and management structure.
- Understand and practices within own scope of practice.
- Integrate nursing and health care knowledge, skills and attitudes to provide safe and effective nursing care.
- Integrate organisational policy and guidelines with professional standards.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the unit and organisation.

Position Requirements / Qualifications
Mandatory
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications and a minimum of 2 years’ experience working professionally in acute care.
- The successful applicant will need to be available for weekend and after-hours work.
- Be registered or be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- This facility is leading the drive to digitally transform health service delivery in Australia through the implementation of a territory wide Digital Health Record. Computer literacy skills are required which are relevant to this role as you will be responsible for completing required documentation and becoming a proficient user of the Digital Health Record and/or other Information Technology systems; once proficient, you will need to remain current with changes, updates and contingencies.
- Have an understanding of how the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) indicators align with this role.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in alignment to the Exceptional Care Framework, Clinical Governance Framework, Partnering With Consumers Framework and all other related frameworks.
